Melton is proud to announce that the 2015 Florence Melton Award goes to The Florence Melton School of The Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education of Miami.

This award was launched in 2009 to memorialize our founder Florence Melton, z"l, and to provide a cash award to one Melton School, whose accomplishments are stellar.

Rabbi Efrat Zarren-Zohar, Melton Regional Director and Director of Melton in Miami, and Carla Spector, Assistant Director, accepted the award on behalf of their Melton School. Melton CEO Judy Mars Kupchan presented the award on the opening evening of the 20th Annual International Directors Conference, Jan. 12-17, 2015, in Jerusalem, Israel.

Director Certification Awards were given to two directors: Pamela Rooks (West Valley, CA) and Deborah Slosberg (Louisville, KY). The certification was instituted in 2003 to recognize successful directors who demonstrate best practices in their Schools.

Special awards of excellence went to three assistant directors: Gail Greenberg (Detroit), Carla Spector (Miami) and Paula Spitz (Chicago).

Mazal Tov and Kol HaKavod to everyone.
