When the world shut down, Melton grew wings. From Flights of the Imagination to Live From Israel… Melton travel hasn’t skipped a beat. After the shock of lockdown subsided, our small but powerful team worked seamlessly to create successful online experiences for our entire community of international learners.

Participation increased 1000% almost overnight and during these classes, people’s thirst for travel grew. Reminded more and more of their missed seminars and friendships, we answered the call and began journeying again. Through poetry, prose, documents and sources, we put maps to PowerPoint and began our voyages; from the expulsion of Spain to the horrors of Europe, arrival in America through the establishment of Israel, we continued our travels but it just wasn’t enough.

With a videographer in tow and a test team in place, our virtual seminars came into being. Walking through the streets of Jerusalem has brought such joy to the hearts of our learners, it is palpable. Seeing familiar sites and learning about new ones, reaching out to touch the fruit on the screen while children play and people stroll, has lifted our spirits and connected us to the Land. A definite second choice for real travel, our Live From Jerusalem virtual tours have brought our community together and Israel closer.
