Jewish Ethics of Family and Personal Relationships
This course will examine how Jewish teachings can shed light on contemporary ethical issues surrounding family matters and personal relationships. Topics will include Honoring Aging Parents, Ethics of Marriage and Divorce, Gender Fluidity and Sexuality.

Rabbi Samantha SafranRabbi Samantha Safran is the Director of the Bobbi and Vic Samuels Center for Jewish Living & Learning. She holds a Master of Arts in Hebrew Letters as well as her rabbinical title from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College (RRC) in Philadelphia. Originally from Great Neck, New York, she studied classics and philosophy at Colgate University and worked in film preservation before migrating to the Jewish professional world and, eventually, to rabbinical school. Rabbi Samantha lives in Houston with her husband Sacha and children Naya and Ezra. She has directed the Houston Melton School since 2012.
