Social Justice ProgramAt a time when people are feeling the need to bring about societal change, the Social Justice Program offers a relevant course of study and action. Melton is making our social justice course available to all Jewish communities, whether or not they are already an official Melton partner.

Social Justice: The Heart of Judaism in Theory and Practice is a response to the suffering and indignity in our lives and in the larger world. This Melton course explores how social justice work goes beyond addressing short-term immediate needs and looks at structural causes of injustice and how these are best addressed today. It combines the study of Jewish sources, history and work to give participants a deep understanding of social justice and a framework for navigating their moral choices.
