OMG: Can You Believe?!
In this exploratory course, we’ll seek answers to the BIG questions around God and God’s relationship to Humankind. Take for yourself a Divine moment to uncover and consider many different understandings of God expressed by Jewish thinkers, past and present. This course will give you the tools to continue asking deep questions, probing your own beliefs and rethinking the “God- questions” that confront us throughout our lives.

Harvey LevenMr. Harvey Leven, R.J.E., holds a M.A. degree from Brandeis University in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, and a Bachelors Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Judaic Studies. He also studied for two years in Jerusalem and one year at Tel Aviv University. Mr. Leven served as the Sr. Director of School Services for the Jewish Federation and Jewish Community Center of Metro Detroit for over 11 years. During that time, he also taught adult courses on Israeli history and society as well as Melton Rhythms & Crossroads classes. Before accepting his responsibilities in Detroit, Mr. Leven served as the Education Director of Washington Hebrew Congregation in Washington, D.C., for 23 years. He moved to Jacksonville in June 2019.
