Randi graduated from the Melton core program in 2007 and has since taken many of the scholars’ courses both online and in person. She began as a Melton student in her home community of Palo Alto, California, and has been instrumental in bringing Melton learning back to the Bay Area in its current site at the Addison-Penzak JCC in Los Gatos, California. She has attended each of the Melton Israel Seminars and several of the European seminars. Randi joined the Advisory Board of the International Alumni Association in 2007 and then joined the Board of Directors in 2011. She has held numerous roles including Development Co-Chair, Board Secretary, and Vice-Chair. Randi has served in leadership roles with many other Jewish organizations such as World ORT, the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation, Congregations Keddem and Etz Chayim, and Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School. Professionally, Randi spent many years as a Human Resources and Organization Development consultant in the high-tech industry and then brought these skills into her work at the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center, where she held several senior staff positions until her retirement in 2014. Randi has her BS in History and Education from Northeastern University and her MBA from Babson College in Wellesley, MA. She lives in Palo Alto, CA, with her husband, writer and therapist, Marty Klein.
