Ram Semo is Director of the Division for Advancement and External Relations. He was born and raised on Kibbutz Ein Dor in the north of Israel.
Following military service in the parachute brigade, he studied at the Hebrew University, first in the Joseph Saltiel Center for Pre-Academic Studies (Mechina), and going on to earn a BA in Sociology and Business Studies, and an Executive MBA in Business Administration.
Ram has been working at the Hebrew University for the past 27 years in various senior positions, having served as Director of the Office of the University President and, immediately prior to becoming Director of the Division for Advancement and External Relations, as the University’s Financial Controller.
Ram also volunteers his services in different bodies at the University: He is the Chairman of the Steven Spielberg Jewish Film Archive, a member of the Board of Managers of the Cosell Sport Center at the University, among others.
In October 2019, he graduated from the first cohort of the new prestigious program of the Israeli Council for Higher Education: "Leadership in Academia".
Ram is married to Racheli and they have 3 children.
