In the summer of 2020, the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning established the Melton Funders Council, a philanthropic vanguard of donors committed to supporting Melton as the organization moves toward the implementation of a new bold strategic plan. Recognizing that Melton is poised for significant growth at this time, several board members were the first to join the Council, paving the way for others to do the same. The Council is a philanthropic leadership cadre and not a policy making body.

Members of the Funders Council commit to a minimum of $25,000 per year for five years, launching Melton onto a path of organizational expansion and playing a significant role in forwarding the mission of the organization to build a worldwide movement of committed learners who are empowered to enrich Jewish life.

As Melton seeks to grow our circle of learners, strengthen Jewish community and revitalize the way it does business, the Melton Funders Council provides an important means for achieving the level of financial support Melton needs to achieve its goals and objectives.

The areas of strategic growth supported by the Funders Council include:

  • Online Learning
  • International Expansion
  • Faculty Development
  • Outreach to New Audiences
  • Travel Seminars
